Workspace Layout
Split your workspace to see multiple views side by side — like editor + terminal, or editor + preview — by dragging view buttons.
Split Views
Drag any view button (Editor, Terminal, Preview, etc.) from the top bar into the workspace. A highlighted area shows exactly where the view will land. Drop it on the top, bottom, left, or right edge of a panel to create a 50/50 split.
Clicking a view button works the same as before — it switches to that view full screen.
Closing a Split Panel
- Click the highlighted view button in the top bar again to toggle it off
- Or right-click the panel and select Close
Moving Panels
Right-click any panel and go to Move to → Top / Bottom / Left / Right.
Resizing Splits
- Drag the handle between split panels to resize
- Double-click the handle to reset to 50/50
Smart Editor Behavior
- When no files are open, the editor collapses and other panels take full space
- Opening a file brings the editor back automatically
Layout Presets
Your layout saves automatically and restores on next launch. To reset, click the layout icon in the top right and select Reset Layout.
